So, I am going to write several posts about the subject of lethal robots and other autonomous fighting systems with artificial intelligence rising up against mankind and trying to exterminate it.
Who needs dragons? People are trying to exterminate people all the time. Wars rage around the globe. People in places such as Iran and N. Korea are doing the best they can to achieve weapons of mass destruction.
Why doesn't this bother anyone? Why are hostile robots so much more horrifying for us?
Apparently, we can kill each other with no problem or thought.
BUT WE CANNOT ABIDE THE THOUGHT OF SOMEONE ELSE KILLING US.
Interesting, isn't it?
Someone else is "them". Humans are "us".
ReplyDeleteOf course, then there is "us Humans" and "Them Humans", but thats different...
Of course. We can kill each other on the roads in can accidents by the thousands and no one really cares. But if anyone else tries to kill us ... we start World War III !
